Athletics Wicklow 5km Road Race

Registration has opened for the Athletics Wicklow 5km Road Race which will take place on Wednesday, 11th June at 7.15pm.

This event is open to everyone, whether you’re a beginner on your “coach to 5km” journey, looking for a challenge, or a seasoned athlete aiming for a fast 5km. The race which incorporates the Wicklow Road Race Championships promises an exciting evening of activity. If you’ve been lacking motivation lately, it’s time to lace up your shoes and hit the road!

The Arklow Rugby Club will serve as the race headquarters, providing parking spaces and a suitable room for the post-race refreshments. The 5km route begins 600m south of the Arklow Rugby Club with participants heading north along the old M11 road before looping back to the finish line just outside the Club.

Race numbers can be collected between 6 PM and 6:40 PM on the evening of the event. One representative from each participating club will collect the race numbers on behalf of their club. Please check the participant list for your athlete's bib number. Wearing the correct race number is essential for accurate results.
